Panthers Outduel Sharks for Third Straight Road Win

Florida Tech improves to 2-0 in SSC play with 3-1 road victory over NSU

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Men's Soccer) - For the second time in four days, Florida Tech (5-1, 2-0 SSC) went on the road and picked up a key early season Sunshine State Conference victory, this time posting a 3-1 victory over Nova Southeastern (2-3, 0-2 SSC) on Tuesday night at the NSU Soccer Complex.

With the result, the Panthers improve to 3-0 on the road this season and have outscored opponents 12-2 in such games.

The Sharks finished with an advantage in both shots (14-13) and corner kicks (9-5) in the contest. NSU goalkeeper Nico Rosiglioni played well in net, making six saves on 10 shots faced. Christopher Page was also impressive, tallying a season-high four saves on five shots to push his season record to 4-1.

The Panthers got on the board first on a goal by Per Henrik Nag off an assist from Stian Hagboe Olsen at 33:08.

NSU's Darwin Lom tied the game at 1-1 just after halftime when he collected a pass from Ignacio Goya and drilled the ball past Page into the lower right corner.

Luca Campanini answered for FIT at 58:53 when he one-timed a Brandon Smalley free kick into the back of the net to make the score 2-1.

Late in the contest, NSU pulled Rosiglioni out to add an extra attacker on the field for a chance to tie the game. However, the strategy did not pay off, as Solomon Wheatley found some space and fired the ball into the open net for a 3-1 advantage with one second remaining on the clock.

Florida Tech will look to continue the momentum when the Panthers welcome SSC foe Saint Leo to Rick Stottler Field on Friday, Sept. 29 for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff. Fans can access live coverage of the action at FloridaTechSports.com/live.
