Tampa Fla. (Swimming) - On Friday afternoon, the Panthers went on the road to participate in the Saint Leo and Lynn race. The women's finished third place with 46 points and the men's finished second with 95 points.
On the women's side,
Valentina Carvajal finished the 100 yard freestyle race with a time of 54.80 earning second place. In the 200 yard butterfly,
Kennedy Nolan registered a time of 2:13.40 to earn second place on the race. Also, in the 200 yard individual medley
Savannah Brennan ended with a time of 2:11.61 enough to earn second place in the race.
Florida Tech was able to get a first place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:44.52. The relay was join by
Samantha Bischoff,
Carter Juskevich,
Birgitt O'Connor and Carvajal.
On the men's side, the Panthers had another first place finish by Victor Rocha Furtado in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 49.66. In the 50 yard freestyle, Emanuele Rossi ended with a time of 21.50 to earn first place. In the 200 yard breaststroke, Jose Coiman-Acosta recorded a time of 2:15.51 to earn second place in the race.
The Panthers, in the 400 yard freestyle relay of Furtado, Nicolas Colomer, Filip Dujmic and Yohann Emmert ended with a time of 3:14.34 earned second place.
The Crimson and Gray will be back on Friday, November 9th at Melbourne, Fla. for the first home race of the season.
