Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Saturday night, the Panthers went on the road to face the Sharks for the second time this season. The first time the Panthers went up against the Sharks they were able to earn a victory in three sets of play. This time Florida Tech (6-16, SSC 3-11) face Nova Southeastern (5-16, SSC 3-11) on the road and were able to repeat as they defeated the Sharks three sets to one (21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17).
Florida Tech collected an impressive 50 kills on 180 attempts for a hitting percentage of .150. The Panthers also tallied a 45 assists, two serve aces, 20 blocks and 100 digs to conclude the match.
Defensively, the Panthers efforts were led by senior
Becca Bower,
Kyra Atkinson and
Sheila Villagrasa who collected a combine 51 digs. Senior
Heather Bowersox had a total of 11 digs, five blocks and six kills to help the Panthers earn the victory. In addition, senior
Kiersten Rosa had 38 assists, 14 digs and six kills on the night.

Audrey Keenan and freshman
Maddalena Fairchild collected a combine 22 kills and 13 blocks. Senior
Kelly Germain registered a total of 16 kills on 40 attempts for a hitting percentage of .300.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court on Friday Oct. 19 for the South Region Crossover tournament at Orlando, Fla.
