Orlando, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Friday afternoon, the Panthers competed in the South Region Crossover. Florida Tech (6-17, SSC 3-11) went up against Christian Brothers University (11-14, GSC 3-8) and after four sets of play were unable to get the victory.
The Panthers collected a total of 49 kills on 141 attempts for a hitting percentage of .227. Florida Tech also registered 48 assists, five serve aces, nine blocks and 57 digs.
Offensively, senior
Kiersten Rosa tallied 37 assists, three blocks and five digs. Senior
Becca Bower collected 25 digs and four assists to concluded the match.
Defensively, Freshman
Maddalena Fairchild registered a total of five kills on 12 attempts for a hitting percentage of .333. Senior
Audrey Keenan collected nine kills on 27 attempts for a hitting percentage of .296. Senior
Olivia Hersey had 11 kills in the match and a hitting percentage of .207. Leading the Panthers was senior
Kelly Germain with an impressive 14 kills on 35 attempts for a hitting percentage of .343.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court tomorrow Oct. 20 against Auburn University and Mississippi College at Orlando, Fla. The first match is set for 10:00 p.m. ET.
