Melbourne, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Saturday afternoon, the Panthers face the Lions for another Sunshine State Conference match. Florida Tech ( 9-18, 4-12 SSC), after defeating Florida Southern last night, went up against Saint Leo (14-13, 9-7 SSC) in which they were unable to secure the victory.
Panthers collected a total of 31 kills on 108 attempts for a hitting percentage of .120. Florida Tech also collected 29 assists, five serve aces, 14 blocks and 46 digs on the match.Â
Defensively, the Panthers were led by senior
Kiersten Rosa and junior
Sheila Villagrasa who had a combine 23 assists and 11 digs. In addition, senior
Becca Bower tallied 15 digs and two assists.Â
Offensively, Rosa led the Panthers with 10 kills on 25 attempts for a .280 hitting percentage. SophomoreÂ
Audrey Keenan registered a total of eight kills on 22 attempts for a .273 hitting percentage.Â
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court against Embry-Riddle at Daytona Beach, Fla. The match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
