Daytona Beach, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Tuesday night, the Panthers went on the road to face the Eagles. Florida Tech (9-19, 4-13 SSC) unfortunately suffer a hard loss against Embry-Riddle (19-8, 9-8 SSC) in four sets of play.
The Panthers collected 52 kills on 146 attempts for a team hitting percentage of .185. Also, Florida Tech tallied 52 assists, three serve aces, 15 blocks and 70 digs on the night.
Defensively, the Panthers were led by senior
Kiersten Rosa who collected 45 assists and eight digs. Libero
Becca Bower had a total of 18 digs on the night with two assists and one serve ace.
Leading the Panthers efforts offensively was senior
Kelly Germain who collected a strong 19 kills on 38 attempts for a .316 hitting percentage. Up next was middle blocker
Olivia Hersey who registered 14 kills on 32 attempts for a .281 hitting percentage. Hersey also had five blocks on the match. Lastly, senior
Heather Bowersox had 10 kills on the night on 25 attempts for a . 240 hitting percentage.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court against Eckerd College at St. Petersburg, Fla. The match is set for 4:00 p.m. ET.
