Melbourne, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Tuesday night, the Panthers went up against the NO. 8 Spartans on International Night. Florida Tech (5-15, SSC 2-10) were defeated over three sets of play against Tampa (19-1, SSC 12-0).
The Panthers concluded the match with a total of 22 kills, 20 assists, two serve aces, 10 blocks and 47 digs.
Leading the Panthers defensively was senior
Becca Bower who tallied a total of 19 digs and five assists. Also, senior
Kiersten Rosa registered five digs, three blocks and 14 assists to end the match.
Olivia Hersey also collected a total of five blocks leading her team in that category.
Offensively, Rosa,
Heather Bowersox and Hersey concluded with a combine 15 kills on 61 attempts for a hitting percentage of .115.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court on Friday Oct. 12 against NO. 18 Palm Beach Atlantic at West Palm Beach, Fla. The match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
