Melbourne, Fla, (Volleyball) - On Saturday night, the Florida Tech Panthers (4-12, SSC 1-7) faced Eckerd College for their eighth conference game of the season. After four sets of play, the Panthers battle all night long with close matches, but were unable to secure the victory against the Tritons.
Florida Tech concluded the night with a total of 43 kills, 40 assists, eight blocks and 76 digs.
Leading the Panthers defensively was senior
Becca Bower who recorded a total of 26 digs on the night. In addition, senior
Kiersten Rosa registered a total of 13 digs, two blocks and 31 assists.
Offensively, seniors
Kelly Germain and
Heather Bowersox both collected a total of 13 kills. Furthermore,
Olivia Hersey tallied a total of 10 kills on 28 attempts for a hitting percentage of .321.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back at home on Oct.2 to face Rollins College at Melbourne, Fla. The match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
