Melbourne, Fla. – On January 25
th, the Panthers hosted Rollins Collage in which they were able to get a victory 261-251 combine team scores.
Women:
Florida Tech got to a fast start in the first event taking first and third in the 200 medley relay. The wining team was swam by Gabi Karosas,
Carter Juskevich,
Mikaela Barger and
Valentina Carvajal recording a time of 1:51.36. The team in third was
Birgitt O'Connor,
Savannah Brennan,
Peyton Baranowski and
Samantha Bischoff recording a time of 1:54.77.
In the 200 free,
Nicole Rautemberg dominated the competition taking first place with a time of 1:56.87 finishing four seconds ahead of the swimmers.
Juskevich took first place in the 100 breaststroke where she registered a time of 1:08.60 finishing three seconds ahead of the competition.
Sydney Goodman competed in the same event finishing second with a time of 1:11.10.
In the 100 free, Juskevich again took first in a very close race with a time of 54.80 and second place from Rollins, Maya Thompson, had a time of 54.81.
Caravajal had a first place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:05.82 awarding Florida Tech nine points with the victory.
In the 200 free relay, the Panthers took first with a time of 1:40.52. The relay was swam by Rautemberg,
Kennedy Nolan, Bischoff and Carvajal.
Men:
The men also took first and third place in the 200 medley relay with times of 1:36.23 and 1:39.51. The first relay was swam by Emanuele Rossi, Dain Rust, Filip Dujmic and Harry Sale. The next relay was swam by Ferron Van Ritter, Bryce Butler, Dylan Hammond and Kerry Ollivierre.
In the 200 free, Nicolas Colomer finished first with a time of 1:46.66 and Ethan Qualle took third with a 1:49.39 time.
Rossi had another first place finish this time in the 200 fly registering a time of 1:56.37. In the same event, Dylan Hammond and Robert Catron took second and third with times of 1:58.25 and 2:00.52.
Victor Rocha Furtado finished first in the 50 free awarding the Panthers with nine points. Furtado registered another first place win in the 100 fly with a time of 49.95.
In the 200 free relay, Florida Tech took first with a time of 1:25.04. The relay was swam by Adi Davidov, Thomas Mchenry, Harry Sale and Furtado.
