MELBOURNE, FLA. - Florida Tech volleyball squared off against the Sunshine State Conference champions Lynn University. The Fighting Knights defeated the Panthers in three straight-set on Friday night at the Clemente Center.
Florida Tech recorded 25 kills on 115 attempts for a .113 team hitting percentage. Tech also tallied 24 assists, two services aces, 17 blocks, and 56 digs.
Kayla Mastin led the team with six kills and recorded four blocks on the night.
Senior Tania Kottke was the most effective attacker for the Panthers with five kills and a .250 attacking rate.
Jocelyn Garcia also collected five kills for Tech and added five blocks to her credit.
Kyra Atkinson led the team with 16 digs and wen one-for-one in the kills category.
The Panther fought hard in three sets (25-22, 25-14, and 25-21), but unfortunately was not able to take the win against Lynn.
