Eagles Best the Panthers in Game Two

Dayton Beach Fla. - On March 23, the Panthers faced the Eagles in game two of the weekend series. Florida Tech (14-11, SSC 5-6) were defeated by Embry-Riddle in game two of the weekend series.

Panthers struggles continue has they drop their fourth game in a row after a nine game winning streak earlier this season.

On the mound for the Panthers was Colin Cristello who pitched 5.1 innings allowing seven hits and five runs.  The right hander suffered his second loss of the season and currently holds a 2-2 record on the season.

Offensively, Florida Tech only recorded two hits on the game and they both came from the Panther catcher Blaise Maris. Maris went 2-for-2 on the game with a walk. The right hander leads the team in slugging percentage (.619) and ranks fourth in the Sunshine State Conference. Maris also ranks ninth in the SSC for on base percentage, James Gronberg ranking first.

The Panthers look to regroup tomorrow and get back on track. They take on Embry-Riddle for the last game of the series starting at 1 p.m.
