West Palm Beach, Fla. - Florida Tech went up against Palm Beach Atlantic for the last road game of the season. Panthers were able to earned a 6-4 victory in nine innings of paly.
Andrew Marzheuser was the starter for game one of the three game series. The Panthers ace pitched five innings, allowing eight hits, three runs, and a walk. The Ohio native picked up his 7th win of the season with this performance. Marzheuser is now second in earned run average, in innings pitched, and third in strikeouts in the Sunshine State Conference.
Ryan Allain registered his 11th save of the season. He allowed a hit, a run, and a strikeout on the Panther victory. The hard thrower leads the SSC in the save category.
Offensively, the Panthers tallied eight hits, five RBI''s, and four walks in the game.
Jacob Buser recorded his 6th home run of the season in the fifth inning.
Dylan Owens went 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI. Owens RBI single came in the second inning scoring the first Panther run. Next, the Panthers quickly gained momentum and scored three runs after Owens hit taking a two run lead.
Vincenzo Catanza had a good day at the plate going 2-for-3 with a walk and a RBI. Catanza's RBI came in the 5th inning with a single to center scoring Owens and extending the Panthers lead to 6-3.
The Panthers wrap up the series tomorrow with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
