MELBOURNE, FLA. - Florida Tech women's swimming celebrated their last home meet at the Panther Aquatic Center. Before the meet, the Head Coach
David Dent had the team shared stories and memories about the seniors to thank them for their service at Florida Tech.
The women concluded the meet 156-105 in favor of Lynn University. Has a team the Panthers defeated the Fighting Knights 281-237.
Tech started the meet with a win in the 200-yard relay.
Gabija Karosas,
Carter Juskevich,
Nicole Rautemberg, and
Savannah Brennan were apart of the winning relay recording a time of 1:50.62.
Kennedy Nolan recorded the first individual win for the Panthers in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:11.48.
Shaelyn Rutta was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle race recording a time of 24.87 improving her seed time.
Savannah Brennan recorded her second win of the meet in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:30.00 improving her seed time by more than a second.
Nicole Rautemberg and
Samantha Bischoff finished back-to-back in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.13 and 2:02.03.
Senior
Carter Juskevich finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke recording a time of 1:09.19.
Next, the Crimson and Gray will compete at the Sunshine State Conference Championship at Clearwater, Fla. on February 12th.
