WINTER PARK, FLA. - Florida Tech baseball went on the road for the first Sunshine State Conference matchup. The Panthers headed to Winter Park to face the Tars. Tech earned its first SSC win on the road against Rollins defeating them 8-1.
It was a great day for Panther pitching. Tech allowed just six hits, a run, a walk, and eight strikeouts during the game.
Andrew Marzheuser earned his second win of the season pitching six scoreless innings and allowing just three Tars hits. Marzheuser recorded seven strikeouts in today's afternoon win.
On offense, the Panthers tallied eight runs on 13 hits, seven RBI's, and walked nine times during the ball game.
Raul Quintero,
Dylan Owens, and
Vincenzo Catanza each had two hits during the game and an RBI to help the Panthers earned the first SSC win.
Brett Parrish solidifying himself has the most consistent hitter in the Panther lineup. Parrish recorded three hits on five at-bats with an RBI and a stolen base. The sophomore also scored two runs and recorded a walk.
Diego Garcia collected his first hit of his Panther career and his first RBI.
The Panthers now have a two-game winning streak and are hoping to the series against Rollins tomorrow at 1 p.m. EST.
