Panthers Fall to Tars in Game Three

WINTER PARK, FLA. - Florida Tech baseball played in a rubber game against Rollins College on Sunday noon at Alfond Stadium. The Panthers had a chance to earn their first Sunshine State Conference series game, but unfortunately, the Tars bested Tech 7-3. 

Florida Tech collected three runs, seven hits, three RBI's, and walked four times. 

Raul Quintero had a good day at the plate going 1-for-3 with a run scored, a walk, and a stolen base. The senior is leading the team in batting average with .378 and ranks 9th in the SSC. Quintero is also 8th in on-base percentage (.491), 10th in hits, and 8th in walks in the SSC. 

Brett Parrish added two more hits to tie Quintero in hits (17). The sophomore collected an RBI and a stolen base. With today's performance, Parrish is now tied for 3rd for RBI'S (7) in the team. 

Jakob Newton collected two hits in three at-bats with an RBI for the Crimson and Gray. The senior scored a run, had an extra-base hit, and walked ones in the game.

Florida Tech will now host Minnesota Crookston on Tuesday, February 25 at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field, first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST.
