LAKELAND, Fla. – The women's swimming team concluded the 2021-22 regular season on Friday afternoon on the road against No. 8 Florida Southern.
While the Panther women were unable to overcome the Moccasins, 176-84, they were able to record four individual wins and seven top three finishes.
Savannah Brennan took home top honors in the 1000 Free with a 10:12.78 finish, over 14 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor, and in the 500 Free with a time of 5:04.64. Brennan has now recorded an individual win in six consecutive meets.Â
Kennedy Nolan emerged victorious in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:11.37, finishing 28 hundredths of a second ahead of her closest competitor.
Nicole Rautemberg earned the win in the 100 Fly with a time of 59.31, 27 hundredths of a second ahead of the next swimmer.Â
The relay team of Brennan, Nolan,
Shaelyn Rutta and Rautemberg won the 200 Free Relay with a finish of 1:39.95.Â
The Panthers now move on to the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Championships, which will be held February 16-20 at the Long Center in Clearwater.Â
