FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Florida Tech volleyball team came up short on Tuesday night when they traveled to Nova Southeastern and lost 3-0 to the Sharks at the Rick Case Arena.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Panthers and sharks battled it out early on the Panthers jumped out to a 5-3 lead before the Sharks came back to go ahead 7-6.
- With tech ahead 10-8, the Sharks scored six straight to go ahead 14-10.
- Down 17-20 the Crimson and Grey tied the match back up 21-21 until the Sharks record four of the next five points to capture set one 25-22
- Set two saw Nova Southeastern jump out to an early 4-0 lead until the Panthers came back and tied up the match 4-4.
- Nova would later go up by six with a 12-6 lead.
- With Tech trailing 14-7, the Crimson and Grey would chip away slowly, but still trail 20-13. Down by seven, the Sharks closed out the set by scoring five straight points to take set two 25-13 and go ahead in the match 2-0.
- Set three saw Tech jump out to a 4-0 led to begin the set before Nova came back tie it up 4-4.
- Tied at 6-6, the Panthers jumped ahead 7-6 until the Sharks recorded five points to go ahead 11-7.
- The Sharks would fall behind for the remainder of the match.
- With Nova up 18-13 the Panthers brought the set back to within three points at 18-15 until the Sharks scored four of the next five points to jump ahead 23-17 before scoring two of the next four points to take set three 25-18 and win the match 3-0.
- Katie Erdmann recorded 14 kills on 31 attempts with just three errors for a .355 hitting percentage.
- Lilian Muszynski and Devyn Glassgold both recorded a .364 hitting percentage as Muszynski totaled six kills on 11 attempts with two errors while Glassgold had four kills in 11 attempts with no errors.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Volleyball is now 21-29 all time against Nova Southeastern since 1990.
- The teams last win against the Sharks was October 13th, 2018, at Nova Southeastern.
- Kari Bogen continues to lead the SSC in digs with 478 this season and second in the conference in digs per set with an average of 4.88.
- Katie Erdmann still sits in second place in the conference in kills with 392 and kills per set with 4.17 kills per set along with second in the SSC in points with 423.5 and points per set with an average of 4.51.
- Kenzie Delacher ranks third in the conference overall in assists with 892 this season.
UP NEXT: The Panthers will return home on Friday, November 14
th as they'll look to host Lynn University who is currently receiving votes in this week's AVCA national poll. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center.
