MELBOURNE, Fla. – Trailing 2-0, the Lynn University volleyball team completed the comeback against Florida Tech to win the SSC matchup 3-2 Friday night at the Clemente center. With 15 kills in the match tonight,
Katie Erdmann surpassed the 400 kills mark this season, the first Panther to do so since 2007. Kenzie Delacher reached 900 assists tonight, the first freshman at Florida Tech to do so since 2000.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Panthers jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first set over the Fighting Knights
- Jumping ahead 10-7, Lynn brought the match back to within one point at 10-9 before the Fighting Knights tied the match up at 12-12.
- Leading 18-16 Lynn regained the lead going ahead 20-18 and later 22-20.
- The Crimson and Grey would later record five consecutive points to close out the set 25-22 and take the match lead 1-0.
- Thew Fighting Knights took a 2-0 to start out the second set, prior to the Panthers scoring three straight points to go ahead 3-2.
- After back and forth point exchanges, Tech was able to pull ahead with the lead going up 12-8.
- Tied 13-13, The Crimson and Grey recorded four straight points to go ahead 17-13 before the Fighting Knights fought back to recapture the lead 21-20.
- The Panthers didn't quit though as after back and forth point exchanges they took the set 26-24 and went ahead 2-0 In the match.
- The third set saw Lynn go ahead 7-1 before Tech brought the set back to within two trailing 7-5.
- Lynn later pushed ahead 16-9.
- In a comeback effort, the Panther women were not successful as Lynn took set three 25-17 and while still trialing 2-1 in the match.
- Lynn came out of set four hots going ahead 12-0 and later 17-1 before winning the fourth set 25-6 to tie the match up at 2-2.
- The fifth set showed the Panthers look to fight for the win as the battle with the Fighting Knights, even leading early on 4-3.
- Down 4-3, Lynn went on a seven-point run to mump ahead 10-4.
- Tech eventually brought the set back to within three points trailing 11-8.
- Lynn would prove to be too much however scoring four of the next five points to win the set 15-9 and the match 3-2.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Volleyball is now 22-27 all-time against Lynn since 1997.
- Tech's last win against the Fighting Knights came back in September 28th, 2017
- The Panthers last home win against Lynn was September 26th, 2015.
- Katie Edmann is the first Florida Tech player to record 400 kills in a season since Sacha Gumbs tallied 403 in 2007.
- Kenzie Delacher is the second Panther freshman to reach 900 assists, joining Michelle White who did so in 2000.Â
UP NEXT:Â The Panthers will be back at home Saturday evening at 4:00 PM when they host Nova Southeastern for senior day. The match will take place at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center.
