STATS OF GAME:
- Alejandro Macario singled up the middle in the top of the second, allowing Daniel Irisarri to score the Sharks' first run of the game.
- The Panthers answered in the bottom of the second thanks to Hayden Kimball's RBI infield single, plating Dylan Owens, and tying the game 1-1.
- Sam Schner hit a RBI triple down the right field line, scoring Kimball, giving the Panthers a 2-1 lead.
- Paul Castillo hit a RBI double to right center field, advancing Dylan Dohanos to third, and plating Sam Schner for the Panthers' final run of the inning, extending the Panthers' lead 3-1.
- Nik Sanders reached on a fielder's choice in the top of the third, scoring Duncan Pastore.
- Daniel Irisarri singled through the right side, scoring Adam Frank, tying the game 3-3.
- Paul Castillo grounded out into a double play, which gave Kimball an opportunity to score, giving the Panthers a 4-3 lead.
- Macario reached first on a fielding error by Dohanos in the top of the fifth, allowing Sanders to tie the game once again.
- The final run of the game came from the Sharks in the top of the sixth thanks to Kolbe Aven's sacrifice fly to right field, plating Adan Fernandez, giving the Sharks a 7-4 lead.
- Justin Lorenz pitched four and one-third innings, allowing nine hits, five runs, struck out five, and threw 101 pitches.
- Aiden Pryzgoda pitched one inning, allowing one hit, two runs, and struck out one Shark.
- Jason Englert pitched two thirds of an inning, walking only one batter, and threw only 12 pitches.
- Noah Steckley pitched three perfect innings for the Panthers, striking out three Sharks in the process.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first series between Florida Tech and Nova Southeastern since March 13, 2021. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 29-26.
- Dylan Owens extended his hitting streak to 11 with his infield single in the bottom of the second.
- Jakob Newton extended his on base streak to 28 with his walk in the bottom of the first.
