STATS OF GAME:
- Byron Murray hit a RBI double to left center in the top of the first, scoring Anthony Orrico, getting the Knights on the board first.
- Matt Archer and Murray both scored on a wild pitch, extending the Knights' lead 3-0.
- Joseph Encarnacion hit a sacrifice fly to right field, plating Yuzuki Okamura.
- Okamura would reach first on an error by Paul Castillo in the top of the second, plating Archer to extend the lead 5-0.
- The Panthers would answer in the bottom of the second with a four-run rally. Diego Garcia hit a RBI single to right field, scoring Dylan Owens.
- Hayden Kimball doubled to right center, plating Alec Eldridge.
- Paul Castillo singled to right field, advancing Sam Schner to second, Kimball to third, and scoring Garcia.
- Jakob Newton hit a sacrifice fly to center field, plating Kimball, cutting the Knight lead 5-4.
- Dylan Dohanos singled to center field in the bottom of the fourth, scoring Kimball, tying the game 5-5.
- Newton singled through the right side, advancing Dohanos to third, and plating Schner.
- Brett Parrish hit a RBI bunt single, advancing Newton to second, allowing Dohanos to score, to extend the Panther lead 7-5.
- Owens hit a RBI single to center field, scoring both Parrish and Newton for the final runs of the fourth inning.
- In the bottom of the sixth inning, Dylan Owens singled up the middle, allowing Jakob Newton to score and extend the Panthers lead 10-5.
- Owens scored on a wild pitch, but a throwing error by the Knights' catcher allowed Eldridge to score as well.
- The Panthers would go through the entire batting order in the bottom of the sixth and extend the lead 17-5.
- Preston Schumacher pitched one-third of an inning, allowing two hits, four runs, and threw 25 pitches.
- Jason Englert pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowing no runs, no hits, and threw 22 pitches.
- Danny Vassallo pitched four innings, allowing only three hits, one run, struck out seven Knights, and threw 61 pitches.
- Samuel Orozco pitched one inning, allowing one hit, no runs, and struck out one.
- Andres Rodriguez pitched one inning, allowed no hits, no runs, and struck out one.
- Zach Rodgers pitched one inning, allowed one hit, no runs, and struck out two.
- Andrew Dunham closed the game for the Panthers where he pitched one perfect inning, striking out three batters on 12 pitches.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first series between Florida Tech and Lynn since March 5, 2021. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 47-46.
- Dylan Owens extended his hitting streak to 12 with his infield single in the bottom of the second.
- Jakob Newton extended his on base streak to 29 with his walk in the bottom of the first.
- Dylan Owens caught Anthony Orrico stealing second in the top of the sixth, extending his Sunshine State Conference leading total to 12.
