STATS OF GAME:
- The Panthers and Eagles were locked in a pitcher's duel through four innings.
- Brett Parrish grounded out to second base in the top of the fifth, allowing Jakob Newton to advance to second, scoring Dylan Dohanos, giving the Panthers the first run of the game.
- Diego Garcia hit a RBI single to center field in the top of the sixth, plating Alec Eldridge.
- Paul Castillo hit a RBI single down the right field line, advancing Sam Schner to third, scoring Diego Garcia, extending the Panther lead 3-0.
- Brett Parrish reached base on a walk, advancing Newton to second, Castillo to third, and Schner to home.
- The Eagles answered in the bottom of the sixth when Josh Reynolds reached on a fielding error by Castillo, allowing Robert Post to score.
- Garrett Bogart scored on a wild pitch to cut the Panther lead 4-2.
- Jack Nagy hit a RBI single up the middle in the top of the seventh, scoring Eldridge, extending the Panther lead 5-2.
- Dylan Dohanos hit a RBI single up the middle in the top of the ninth, plating Diego Garcia.
- The Eagles attempted to rally back in the bottom of the ninth when Reynolds hit a home run to left field. The Panthers would get out of the inning to secure the 6-3 victory.
- Joey Hecht pitched eight innings, allowing five hits, two runs, and threw 89 pitches.
- Andres Rodriguez closed the game for the Panthers, allowing one hit, one run, and struck out one Eagle.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first meeting between Florida Tech and Embry Riddle since March 24, 2019. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 20-18.
- Paul Castillo's double to left field in the top of the first ties him for third in the Sunshine State Conference for most triples, totaling 11.
