STATS OF GAME 1:
- The Knights struck first in the bottom of the second with a solo home run by Ryan Ford, giving Lynn a 1-0 lead.
- Tal Erel reached first on an error by Dylan Owens, which allowed Joseph Rosselli to score, extending the Knights lead 2-0.
- Peter Avino scored after Anthony Orrico grounded out to Jack Nagy.
- Brandon Kruzinski hit a RBI single to right field, scoring Erel, extending the Knights lead 4-0.
- Kruzinski hit a sacrifice fly to center field in the bottom of the fourth, plating Erel.
- The Panthers first run came in the top of the sixth, when Diego Garcia hit a RBI single to center field, advancing Jack Nagy to second, scoring Brett Parrish, to cut the Knight lead 5-1.
- The Knights answered in the bottom of the sixth when Byron Murray advanced to second on a wild pitch, Orrico to third, scoring Pedro Martinez.
- Garcia was hit by a pitch in the top of the eighth, advancing Nagy to second, Alec Eldridge to third, and bringing Dylan Owens home.
- Sam Schner hit a sacrifice fly to center field in the top of the eighth, allowing Eldridge to score, cutting the Knights lead 6-3.
- The Knights tacked on one more run in the bottom of the eighth when Joseph Rosselli got hit by a pitch, scoring Kruzinski from third.
- The Panthers attempted to rally back in the top of the ninth when Dylan Owens hit a three-run homerun to left field, scoring both Brett Parrish and Jakob Newton in the process.
- Florida Tech's rally came up short and the Panthers were defeated 7-6.
- Mitch Harding pitched three and one-third innings, allowing four hits, five runs, and threw 53 pitches.
- Samuel Orozco pitched two and one-third innings, allowing one hit and one run.
- Aiden Pryzgoda pitched two innings, allowing one hit, one run, and struck out three Knights.
- Andrew Dunham pitched one-third of an inning, retiring a batter, while throwing two pitches.
STATS OF GAME 2:
- The first run of the game wouldn't come until the bottom of the fourth, when Brandon Kruzinski singled to right field and advanced to second on an error, scoring Peter Avino, to give Lynn a 1-0 lead.
- Kruzinksi advanced to third on a wild pitch, which allowed Pedro Martinez to score, extending the Knights lead 2-0.
- Jakob Newton hit a sacrifice fly to left field in the top of the fifth, plating Dylan Dohanos to give the Panthers their first run of the game.
- Sam Schner grounded out to first base in the top of the sixth, which gave Luca Wentzel an opportunity to score, allowing the Panthers to tie the game 2-2.
- Justin Lorenz pitched one and one-third inning, allowing one hit, no runs, and threw 19 pitches.
- Noah Steckley pitched two and two-third innings, allowing three hits, two runs, and struck out three Knights.
- Andres Rodriguez pitched three innings, allowing four hits, no runs, and struck out one.
- Due to inclement weather, Game Two was suspended, and is scheduled to resume in the eighth inning, tomorrow April 3rd, at 10:00 AM.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first series between Florida Tech and Lynn since March 4, 2021. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 48-47.
- Dylan Dohanos extended his hitting streak to 13 with both of his singles in game one and two.
