FIRST QUARTER:

• Tampa jumped out in front early on to take a 1-0 lead just 51 seconds into the game. 
• Collin Stewart and Griffin Martin scored unassisted goals later in the first quarter to give Tech a 2-1 advantage with 4:16 to go. 
• Spartans tallied three unanswered goals over a 2:15 span to take a 4-2 lead with 1:24 left in the frame. 

 
SECOND QUARTER:

• It was a defensive stalemate for much of the second quarter until Tampa tallied consecutive goals to increase its lead to 6-2 with 2:32 remaining in the half.
• Panthers scored twice in the final 1:12 of the first half to cut the margin to 6-4 at the break. Zach Rozgonyi fed Justin Williams for a man-up goal to trim the deficit to three. Rozgonyi then scored his lone goal of the game on an unassisted effort with 45 seconds left. 

THIRD QUARTER: 

• Tampa extended its advantage to 7-4 with 4:25 to go in the third quarter. 
• Nate Deplancke scored on a high bouncer from the wing less than a minute later to bring the margin back to two. 
• Stewart tallied his second goal of the game on a fastbreak off an assist from Brennan Banks to make it a one-goal game with 1:07 left in the quarter. 

FOURTH QUARTER:

• Spartans opened the fourth quarter scoring with four unanswered goals to increase their lead to 11-6 with 4:28 remaining. 
• Stewart scored his third of the day to cut the margin to 11-7 with 2:15 left. 
• Jakob Terpak then found the back of the net off a feed from Andrew Walenty to make it a three-goal game with 1:44 left. 
• Tampa would run the remaining time on the clock and handed Florida Tech its first SSC loss of the season. 

NOTABLE PANTHERS:

• Collin Stewart led Tech with 3 goals, 1 ground ball and 1 caused turnover.
• Zach Rozgonyi recorded a goal and an assist to go along with 5 ground balls.
• Nate Deplancke, Griffin Martin, Jakob Terpak and Justin Williams each scored one goal. 
• Brennan Banks and Andrew Walenty dished out one assist apiece.
• Ethan Tosheff won 10-20 faceoffs and picked up 7 ground balls.
• Matthew Hill collected 3 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers. 
• Bennett Duffy and Josh Vetter each scooped up 3 ground balls.
• John Hulsman made 16 saves while facing 44 total shots. 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Tampa ended with more shots (44-40), shots on goal (27-24) and ground balls (37-32). 
• Spartans won 13-23 faceoffs compared to 10-23 for Tech.
• Both teams turned the ball over 14 times in the contest.
• Tampa was 15-17 on clear attempts while Florida Tech was 16-18. 
• Panthers went 1-7 on the man-up while holding the Spartans to 0-6 on their extra-man opportunities.

• Tampa improves to 14-1 all-time versus Florida Tech.
