PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Florida Tech's men's Heavyweight 4+ is moving on to the semifinals of the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta after winning its opening heat on Friday morning on the Schuylkill River.Â

The crew dominated its heat and cruised to a top finish of 6:26.136, more than 16 seconds ahead of West Point who took second in the heat at 6:42.332. Grand Valley took third at 6:49.330 while Marietta brought up the back at 6:58.268.

UP NEXT: Florida Tech will now take aim at Saturday's third semifinal race against Grand Valley, La Salle, Lafayette, Marietta, and Marietta, which is set to take place at 8:12 a.m. The finals of the Heavyweight 4+ will take place later on Saturday.
