STATS OF THE MATCH: 
  • The Panthers played aggressively from the opening whistle, attempting the first shot of the game nine minutes into the contest. Julen Lufuente took a deep shot from the left side of the field but went directly to the keeper.
  • A minute later, Jiya Maziko of Limestone found an opening in the Panther defense and was given the ball at the top of the box. Maziko's shot sailed far left, keeping the Saints off the board.
  • Luis Tovar Romero came up big in the 20' when Limestone was given a free kick, a Saints player went up for the header but Tovar Romero swatted it away before he could make contact.
  • The Saints out-shot the Panthers in the first half, 4-2.
  • In the 59', Limestone took the lead as Maziko converted a header into the bottom right of the goal.
  • Tech had the next five shots of the match, but two missed the target and three found the hands of the keeper.
  • With 40 seconds remaining and Tech's last chance to tie it up, Fabio Amaral fires one into the box, in perfect position, for Jack Edwards to head it past the keeper and into the back of the net.
  • Panthers out-shot the Saints 13-7, including 6-1 shots on goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • Florida Tech is now 1-0-1 all-time against Limestone.
  • The Panthers have attempted 22 corner kicks in the first three games of the season while only allowing four attempts by their opponents.
  • Limestone's shot on goal was the first shot on goal by an opponent this season.
  • The last time the Panthers ended in a 1-1 tie was Oct. 16, 2021, in double overtime against Saint Leo.
  • Edwards' goal was his first as a Panther.
  • Amaral recorded his second assist of the season.
