FLORENCE, SC – Tom Windle's first career goal in the 47' gave Florida Tech the 1-0 win at Francis Marion on Saturday Night. Tech has improved to 3-0-1 on the season.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The pace of play was even for the first half, with just three combined shots taken, all in the final 15 minutes of the half.
- Florida Tech was awarded a Penalty Kick in the 47' due to a handball by FMU in the box. Fabio Amaral's shot was blocked by FMU's goalie but Tom Windle quickly rebounded to net the Panther's first goal of the game.
- Two minutes later, a 16-yard shot by Amaral looked like it was going to be another Panther goal, but landed in the hands of the goalie.
- In the 72', a Patriots shot was blocked by the Panther defense. Miguel Bello rebounded for the equalizer but Luis Tovar Romero, Sr. dove on the ball saving the Panther's lead.
- Tech outshot the Patriots 9-6 including 5-1 shots on goal
- Tovar Romero tallied one save while Andrea Scapolo of FMU recorded four.
- FMU had the advantage in corners 7-4

- Florida Tech is now 4-1-0 all-time against Francis Marion.
- The Panthers have held their opponents to just 19 shots in four games including five on goal while Tech has recorded 46 shots with 25 on goal.
- Windle's goal was the first of his career.
