LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Tech men's soccer battled to a scoreless tie in the regular season finale against Florida Southern on Friday night.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Florida Southern came out quickly as they were able to get a shot off in the first 53 seconds of play.
- After some back and forth in the midfield, Nokkvi Nokkvason ripped one, but a Moc defender was en route for the block.
- Tech's best opportunity in the first half came in the 32nd minute after Nokkvason's shot was deflected by Pearce, and Oskar Ihlen was in position for the rebound. Ihlen's rebounded shot was deflected out by Pearce, keeping the Panthers from getting on the board.
- The second half opened with both teams battling for possession.
- Tomas Casa blasted a shot through in the 58th minute but went just wide.
- Tech carried the momentum, controlling possession and looking for their next opportunity.
- In the 73rd minute, Joeran Osland sent a corner kick into the box but it bounced around and was eventually sent out by the Mocs.
- The Mocs quickly regained possession and sent the ball downfield. After a yellow card was given to Hugo Catherine, the Mocs' were awarded a free kick just outside the 18-yard box.
- Looking to take the lead, Florida Southern aimed for the back of the net, but Iker Bastida came up with the save.
- Tech was able to get two more shots off, both off target, but the Mocs' sent the ball up, and a wide-open forward was one-on-one with Bastida. Matthew Male sent a shot to the hands of Bastida, keeping the Mocs' from taking the lead.
- In the final two minutes of play, Tech received three corner kicks but were unable to capitalize on it, ending the match in a scoreless tie.
- Iker Bastida tallied three saves on five shots, while AJ Pearce recorded five saves on 10 shots.
- Tech earned seven corner kicks.
