BOCA RATON, FLA. – The Florida Tech women's volleyball team started off its four-game road trip on Friday night, stopping in Boca Raton, Fla, as the Panthers took on the Lynn Fighting Knights. Lynn came away victorious, winning the match 3-0.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Set:
- Lynn started off the match ahead 3-0 off of a service ace and two kills, before Tech recorded three points of its own to the set 3-3.
- Three kills from Samantha Wolf of the Fighting Knights helped increase Lynn's led to 10-6.
- Five straight points by Florida Tech were enough to give the Panthers an 11-10 lead which was highlights by kills from Antia Vallecas Rodriguez, and María Jesús Muñoz, along with a service ace by Courtney Capar.
- Lynn would pull ahead 13-12 after a kill from Kenidy Howard before Vallecas Rodriguez and Cordelia Kearns would each record a kill to put the Panthers ahead 15-14.
- Four straight points by Lynn would see them jump ahead 18-15 and later lead 20-17.
- Down by three, a Muñoz kill and two service aces in a row by Capar would leave both sides tied at 20.
- The final five points would be rewarded to Lynn however, highlighted by two service aces from Emily Edwards and back-to-back kills by Cecilia Maria would allow Lynn to take the set 25-20 and go ahead 1-0 in the match.
Second Set:
- Set two saw Lynn gain a 7-2 lead early on and not let up eventually pulling ahead 12-4.
- The Panthers brought the set back to 15-9 following two kills from Muñoz and Vallecas Rodriguez before a service ace by Kenzie Delacher.
- Three more points from the fighting Knights would increase their lead by nine, ahead 18-9.
- Back and forth points by both sides would allow Tech to get 15 points but would not be enough as Lynn would take the second set 25-15 and lead the match 2-0.
Third Set:
- The third set witnessed Tech lead 4-3 early on following two kills each from Chiara Patelli and Kearns.
- It would be Tech's final lead of the set however, as Lynn rallied off 11 unanswered points to gain a 14-4 lead which was highlighted by six kills from Dayana Chara, five of which being in a row.
- The Fighting Knights continued its run scoring 11 of the next 15 points to win the third set 25-8 and the match 3-0.
NOTABLE PANTHERS
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Delacher's one ace was enough to give her 60 career service aces. She is the first Panther to reach 60 career service aces since Kyra Atkinson (2016-19)
- Tech is now 22-29 all-time again Lynn.
- The Knights have now won the previous 10 meetings.
- The Panthers last win over Lynn was a five-set thriller on September 28, 2017, in Boca Raton.
- In Boca Raton, Tech is now 9-15.
