Florida Tech 20th in Division II LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

MELBOURNE, Fla.-  Florida Tech continues to soar nationally as they are 20th in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings for Division II after the fall semester, as announced Thursday morning.

This is the highest ranking in the history of Florida Tech Athletics, with the previous top mark coming in the fall of 2010 when Tech stood at 48th.

The Directors' Cup awards points based on each. Institutions finish in the NCAA Championships.

"This remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and exceptional performance of our men's and women's soccer scholar-athletes, coaches, and staff for their unprecedented Final Four runs," said Director of Athletics Jamie Joss.  "It reflects our commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics, and we are thrilled to be recognized among the nation's elite athletic programs.

"This accomplishment is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire university community, and we look forward to building on this success in the winter and spring, as well as years to come."

The Panthers earned 166 points, led by strong showings by men's and women's soccer. With two trips to the National Semifinal, both programs brought home 83 points each. Tech finished just one point behind Lewis (167 total points) and three points behind Catawba (169 total points).
