MELBOURNE, Fla. - Tech hosted Wilmington (Del.) on Friday night for its final game of the week. The Panthers scored eight runs over the final three innings to secure their fifth win in a row.

STATS OF GAME:
- It wasn't until the sixth inning that a run was scored and that was when a RBI sacrifice fly from J.J. Killen gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
- The Panthers answered in the bottom of the frame with a 2-RBI double to center field by Alec Eldridge. Eldridge scored later in the inning on an errant pick-off attempt to first base while he was at third base.
- To cap off a five-run sixth inning, Gavin McGowan hit a 2-RBI double to left field that scored Brett Parrish and Sam Schner.
- The Panthers scored two more runs in the seventh inning on a RBI double to left-center field by Eldridge and a wild pitch that scored a run.
- Tech gave itself an 8-1 advantage in the eighth inning on a bunt single from Gabe Garrett that eventually scored Tate Hansen on a throwing error by the catcher.
- Wilmington tacked on two runs in the ninth inning, but it was not enough to leave Melbourne victorious.
- RHP Mitch Harding threw five scoreless innings while giving up two hits for the Panthers with four strikeouts.
- RHP Ridge Skarbek took the win in relief, giving up one unearned run in two innings pitched. The sophomore struck out four batters.
- RHP Ethan Stephens threw the final two innings for Tech and gave up two unearned runs on two hits while striking out three.
- RHP Zach Czarnecki took the loss for Wilmington as he gave up four earned runs without recording an out in the sixth inning.
- Garrett, Samson, Eldridge, and McGowan each had two hits while Tech had 13 hits as a team. Eldridge led the team in RBIs with three.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 1-0 all-time against Wilmington.
- Tech is riding a season-high five-game winning streak.
- Through six appearances that total 13.1 innings pitched this season, Skarbek has not given up an earned run.
