MELBOURNE, Fla. - After winning the first game of the series, Tech hosted Embry-Riddle for a Saturday afternoon showdown. The Panthers exploded for seven runs in the sixth inning to clinch the series win.

STATS OF GAME:
- The Panthers threatened to score multiple times in the first few innings, but were thrown out four times on the bases early on.
- Embry-Riddle took its first lead of the weekend on a RBI single to center field from Alex Britton in the fourth inning.
- Tech tied the game in the sixth inning on an infield error that scored Josh Ford.
- Three bases-loaded walks, a 2-RBI single from Gabe Garrett, and a RBI single from Josh Ford extended Tech's lead to 7-1 later in the sixth inning.
- The Panthers added two more runs in the seventh inning on a bases-loaded walk and a RBI groundout by Garrett.
- The Eagles added a run in the second inning on a RBI double to left field from Timo Aracena.
- RHP Danny Vassallo earned the win for the Panthers going six and one-third innings while yielding one earned run on six hits. The defending SSC Pitcher of the Week struck out four.
- RHP Tyler Vermillion pitched two and two-thirds innings in relief of Vassallo. He allowed one earned run on two hits with two strikeouts.
- RHP Conner Dunnam took the loss for the Eagles. He gave up three runs, all of which were unearned, in five and two-thirds innings.
- Tech recorded nine hits on the day with Josh Ford leading the way with three base knocks.
- Gavin McGowan got the start at first base and walked three times at the plate.
