MELBOURNE, Fla. - Tech welcomed Minnesota Crookston to Melbourne for the first of three nonconference games this week. The Panthers were up to the challenge and defeated the Golden Eagles convincingly.

STATS OF GAME:
- Alec Eldridge gave the Panthers the lead in the first inning on a RBI double down the right field line that scored Austin Sewell.
- The Golden Eagles tied the game in the second inning with a bases-loaded walk.
- Brett Parrish cleared the bases in the fourth inning with a 3-RBI triple down the right field line.
- Later in the fourth inning, Cole Patrick launched his second home run of the season, a 2-run shot to left field to give the Panthers a 6-1 advantage.
- In the fifth inning, Eldridge scored another run for Tech on a RBI single to center field that brought home Jason Blackstone.
- Eldridge eventually scored in the fifth inning after a errant throw by the catcher trying to throw out Sam Schner stealing second base.
- To cap off the fifth inning, Joseph Phan drove in Schner with a RBI single to center field. This marked the first RBI of the freshman's career.
- In the seventh inning, an infield error scored Phan and Andrew Bourque to give Tech a 11-1 lead.
- The Golden Eagles didn't quit as they scratched together four runs in the ninth inning to lose by six runs.
- RHP Christian Galindo picked up the win for Tech giving up one unearned run on one hit in five innings of work. The freshman struck out four and walked three.
- LHP Aiden Pryzgoda threw two hitless innings in relief of Galindo.
- RHP Liam Progulske threw one scoreless inning out of the bullpen while giving up one hit. He struck out two and walked two.
- RHP Carter Cooke gave up four earned runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning. Cooke had one strikeout and one walk.
- RHP Zach Rodgers came in for the final out and recorded a strikeout to end the game.
- RHP Matt Nelson took the loss for Minnesota Crookston, as he gave up six earned runs on seven hits in four innings of work.
- Tech had 12 hits as a team with Phan, Blackstone, and Eldridge each having two hits.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 1-1 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
- Nine of Tech's 11 runs came with two outs.
- The Panthers have won three games in a row, which ties a season-high.
