MELBOURNE, Fla. - Tech hosted Sioux Falls for its second nonconference game of the week. The Panthers went on to score 13 runs in a win against the Cougars.

STATS OF GAME:
- Sioux Falls scored two runs in the first inning on a RBI double by Ben Serie and a RBI single from Brady Klehr.
- Josh Ford drove in the Panthers first run with a RBI single to center field in the first inning that scored Austin Sewell.
- Tech tied the game in the second inning with a RBI sacrifice fly by Tate Hansen that drove in Brett Parrish.
- The Panthers blew open the game in the third inning with six runs. Alec Eldridge, Sam Schner, Parrish, and Gabe Garrett all had RBIs in the inning.
- Noah Buss launched a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning for the Cougars.
- Ford drove in his second run of the game with a RBI single to left field in the fourth inning on a perfectly executed hit-and-run with Eldridge on the base.
- Sioux Falls scored three runs on three hits on two hits, one error, and one walk in the sixth inning.
- RBI sacrifice fly's by Jason Blackstone and Alec Eldridge gave the Panthers two runs in the seventh inning.
- Later in the seventh inning, back-to-back RBI singles from Ford and Schner gave Tech a 13-6 advantage.
- The Cougars rallied for three runs in the ninth inning, but it was too little, too late to come out on top.

- RHP Zach Rodgers gave up three earned runs on three hits and three walks in two and two-thirds innings pitched.
- Recording the final three outs for Tech was RHP Danny Vassallo. He allowed one hit and struck out one batter.
- RHP Cole Wright took the loss for Sioux Falls. He allowed eight earned runs in two innings pitched.
- Tech tallied 11 hits and was led by Eldridge and Ford who each had three hits.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 1-0 all-time against Sioux Falls.
- Tech is riding a season-high four-game win streak.
- Vermillion is tied for the lead in the SSC with four wins on the season.
