Indianapolis, Ind. – Florida Tech's swimming program carried on into the second day of competition at the 2023 NCAA Division II National Championships on Thursday, March 9th at the Indiana University Natatorium. All three of the Panther's individual swimmers competed on Thursday, with the men's 400 medley relay team closing out Thursday night's event.

Daniel Aizenberg started off the day for the Crimson and Gray, competing in the Men's 100 Butterfly Prelims. Finishing with a time of 48.17, Aizenberg fell just short of qualifying for the top 16 spots that moved onto finals as he placed 20th in the event.

In the Women's 200 Freestyle Prelims, Florida Tech was represented by Nicole Rautemberg and Katherine Helminiak. Sophomore Helminiak finished in 25th with a time of 1:51.54 while Rautemberg claimed 31st in the event with a time of 1:50.27.

Ending day three for the Panthers was the men's 400 Medley relay team of Aizenberg, Connor Orth, John Fonnotto and Nathaniel Allen finishing in 19th place with a time of 3:14.82.

Up Next: Friday's action will have Aizenberg in the 100 backstroke, the same event in which he won this years SSC Championships, while Katherine Helminiak compete in the 500 Free. The Women's 200 Freestlye will complete day four for the panthers as the team of Rautemberg, Debora Xavier, Shaelyn Rutta and Harper Powell look to go for gold. Prelims are scheduled to begin at 10 A.M. and the finals will start at 6 P.M.
