Panther Men Blanked by No.9 Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla.- No.9 Lynn shuts down Tech to hand the Panthers a 2-0 loss. Tech moves to 4-1-3 on the season, and 1-1-1 in conference play.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
  • After a scoreless first half, Lynn took the lead in the 62nd on a goal by Roman Hartleb.
  • Five minutes later, the Panthers had a chance to tie the game when a foul by the Fighting Knights led to a penalty kick.
  • Hugo Catherine stepped up to take the kick, but Lynn's keeper Luca Clavero came up with the save.
  • Osvaldo Santana took a shot right after the save, but Clavero was right there to keep Tech off the board.
  • In the 74th minute, Patrick O'Halloran scored off a long ball, extending Lynn's lead 2-0.
  • Both teams had seven shots, both with two on goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • Florida Tech is now 7-30-1 in the all-time series record against Lynn.
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will return home this Saturday, September 30th to continue conference play against Eckerd. Kick-off is set for 7:00pm.
