MELBOURNE, Fla. –The Florida Tech volleyball team is on fire, extending their win streak to three matches with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Eckerd, snapping a 13-match losing streak against the Tritons.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Set:
- Florida Tech started slow, falling behind 4-1, but quickly fired back with a 5-1 run to snatch a 6-5 lead.
- Eckerd kept it tight, eventually tying it at 13-13 in a back-and-forth battle.
- The Panthers powered through in crunch time, taking four of the last five points, with Cordelia Kearns igniting the run with two crucial kills to secure a 25-22 win.
Second Set:
- Eckerd took complete control here, turning a tied 7-7 into a dominant set with a massive 7-0 run, leaving Florida Tech scrambling.
- The Tritons closed the door with a commanding 25-13 win, leveling the match.
Third Set:
- Florida Tech came roaring back, fueled by the second-set loss. They jumped to a 6-2 lead, driven by four consecutive Kearns kills.
- Eckerd wasn't backing down, closing the gap to one at 9-8 and eventually taking a 13-11 lead after a 5-1 surge.
- In a nail-biting finish, the Panthers pulled ahead 20-19, and with Kenzie Delacher leading the charge, they took the set 25-21 after a clutch ace and assist.
Fourth Set:
- Eckerd came out swinging, racing to a 10-4 lead, but Florida Tech wasn't done yet. The Panthers clawed their way back to within one at 18-19.
- Tech fought to stay within reach, but Eckerd extended their lead to 18-12.
- The intensity hit a fever pitch as Eckerd edged ahead 23-21, but Chiara Patelli and Kearns answered with two massive kills, putting Florida Tech up 26-25.
- The Panthers sealed the deal with a final Eckerd error, winning the set 27-25 and the match!
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Cordelia Kearns was unstoppable with 14 kills and 16 digs, securing her 10th double-double of the season. She's been an offensive force, notching 10+ kills in every match this year!
- Chiara Patelli led the team with 15 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
- Kenzie Delacher set the pace, dishing out 20 assists, including clutch plays at critical moments.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The win moves Florida Tech to 25-37 in the all-time series, and they improve to 16-15 at home against Eckerd since 1993.
