MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Tech Panthers volleyball took the victory over the Rollins College Tars, this marks the 8
th win in a row, the longest win streak in the conference and the first winning season since 2012

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Set:
- The game began with three errors by the Tars resulting in an early 3-1 lead for the Panthers.
- Tech would follow up with a 6-3 run due to a mixture of dominant kills and good defense.
- Both teams would settle in and rally back-and-forth two points at a time consistently though the middle of the game via scores of 11-6, 13-8, 15-10.
- Tech would find themselves on the wrong side of a Tars run that would result in the set getting a little closer bringing the score to 17-15.
- The Panthers would then answer every point by the Tars with two points of their own bringing the score to 21-16 and a timeout for the Tars.
- Two strong kills (23-16) for the Panthers would bring the Tars into another timeout before the Panthers would take the set via score of 25-17.
Second Set:
- The Tars came into full form in the beginning of this one after an early 1-1 tie would quickly turn into a 1-5 run not in favor of the Panthers (2-5).
- After an early timeout for Tech, they would respond and answer with a 3-1 run of their own to bring the deficit a little smaller at 5-8.
- The hole would grow deeper after a quick 1-4 run from the Tars (6-12).
- Tech would than respond with a 6-1 run of their own to bring things to 10-12.
- The Tars would hold the lead throughout the midway point of the score holding onto a one-point lead until point 16 when they would extent the lead to four (15-19).
- Tech would get some late energy as they clawed back slowly getting to within one point (20-21) but that is as close as the Panthers would get as they fell 22-25 in the end.
Third Set:
- The Panthers looked to not have a slow start in this set as they rattled off an early 2-0 start.
- Tech would climb to a 6-1 lead and look to be in control before the Tars would return an 0-8 run themselves and take the lead at 6-9.
- From this point on the Panthers would be in a large deficit as the Tars would spark a 3-7 run to take a commanding lead (9-16).
- The two teams would then exchange every one to two points until the 12–20 point mark.
- The Tars would then expand on their lead with a 2-4 run bringing the score to 15-24 when the Panthers would get some momentum and score four straight points before falling 19-25 in the set.
Fourth Set:
- The Panthers were not looking to go home early in this one and each team would exchange runs.
- The Tars would go up 1-4 before the Panthers responded with a 5-1 run of their own going up 6-5.
- Tech would sperate themselves with a 2-1 run, 3-2 run and then a strong 9-0 run to create a confident lead with the score up 21-9.
- The Panthers would close it out and respond to each of the Tars final points taking the 25-14 win
Fifth Set:
- Tech would strike first, and the Tars would respond immediately bringing the score 1-1.
- The Panthers would create an early lead of two points (4-2) before the Tars would take the lead after a 3-0 run now up 4-5.
- Each team would than go on a 4-0 run, the Panthers first, followed by the Tars which would put them back in the lead late 8-9.
- After a timeout by Tech, an error on the serve would tie things at 9-9.
- Each team would respond with two points of their own to bringing us to a tie at 11-11.
- It would be the Panthers would walk away with the win after a 4-1 run to close the set out.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- #8 Cordelia Kearns led the Panthers in Kills with 15 and finished second on the team in digs with 13, her 14th double-double of the season.
- #6 Kari Voelstad Bogen led Tech with 30 digs, her second career game with such stat line & first since September 3rd, 2022
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- All-time vs. Rollins: 29-35 (since 1993)
- Panthers are now 10-21 at Rollins since 1993 with this game being their first win in Winter Park since September 15, 2017.
- Tech completes first season sweep of Rollins since 2017 season.
- #2 Kenzie Delacher recorded her 80th career service ace, the first Panther to reach that mark since Kiersten Rosa in 2018
