MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech downs Nova Southeastern in a 4-1 route at Rick Stottler Field. The Panthers got back at the Sharks after a 2-1 loss early in the season, scoring the first four goals.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- Nova Southeastern took two early shots, but Florida Tech would provide the first points on the board. Tomas Casas passed it out to Armando Loynaz, who then found Mario Rekirsch open in the box for his first career goal.
- The lead gave the Panthers confidence on offense as they began firing several shots at the goal. In the next 15 minutes, Tech took four shots and earned a corner kick opportunity.
- One of those four shots was off Loynaz's foot, barely missing the goal and hitting the goalpost. Off the deflection, Rekirsch ran in and cleaned it up for his second goal of the game. The Panthers went into the half, leading 2-0.
- It was all Crimson and Gray, dominating offensive possession for most of the second half. Tech attempted four more shots in the first 15 minutes of the half, scoring again in the 60th minute.
- More impressive passing from Filippo Fazzi to Eytor Omarsson and finally finding Loynaz racing toward the goal. Loynaz shot left of the keeper, netting the Panthers' third goal.
- There was a lull in the action until the 78th minute, when the Sharks fouled inside the Panthers' eighteen, setting up a penalty kick. While the Sharks keeper saved Oskar Ihlen's penalty kick, Matteo Ghirardelli immediately sprinted once the ball was kicked and poked into the net.
- A couple of minutes later, Nova Southeastern capitalized on a penalty kick of its own, but the goal was not enough, and the Panthers were victorious.
- Noah Murray Hawkins subbed in for starting keeper Iker Bastida and made two monster saves late in the game, securing the victory.
