MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Tech Panthers basketball took the loss in the exhibition contest against the Spiders.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Half:
- Donovan Brown would strike first beginning the night for the Panthers with a layup to get the game started.
- Both teams would struggle early to score and over the first 10 minutes of the game both teams would remain in single digits.
- It would be Donovan Brown, Donovan Murphy, and Can Kaan Turgut doing the scoring for Tech.
- It would be Donovan Brown via a three-pointer to get out of the single digits for either team which would ignite scoring for everyone, 11-9.
- After tying the game at 11-11, the Spiders would unleash a mirage of scoring, finding the bottom of the basket on everything they threw up.
- The Spiders would rattle off six threes to build a huge lead heading into half time up 19-34.
Second Half:
- Down big early Tech would have to really dig deep to make this a reasonable game before things got out of hand.
- To start the second half, it would be Elhadji "ET "Thiam and Donovan Brown delivering a quick (15-4) run to cut the Spiders lead to just nine.
- Donovan Murphy would continue his hot play leading Tech all the way back to a tie game at 46-46.
- The Panthers would continue to fight and stay close to the spiders but would never take the lead late, they would manage to find themselves down just three with two minutes left.
- Tech would give the Spiders a good game in the second half but fall short in the comeback attempt.
- Unfortunately, like each game before this one, the Panthers would go scoreless down the final stretch leading to a Tech loss, 57-67.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Donovan Brown led all scorers with 27 points while adding a team high four assists.
- Elhadji "ET" Thiam finished with six points and nine rebounds which he would share the lead on the team with Donovan Murphy finishing with six points and nine rebounds with a team high three offensive.
