MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Tech Panthers basketball took the loss in the exhibition contest against the Cardinals.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Half:
- The Panthers got out to a hot start over the Cardinals with a 9-0 lead via the efforts from Elhadji Thiam & Donovan Brown scoring all the baskets.
- The Cardinals would respond to get back on the board with an (8-0) run to get right back in the mix, 9-8.
- The Cardinals would take the lead for the first time at 11-12 and never look back.
- Ball State then went on a (17-2) run to separate themselves, 13-29.
- The Panthers would get some offense going from Donovan Brown, Marko Malekinusic, and Xavier Ford-Belton to answer the run with some much-needed baskets bring the score to 25-31.
- It would be Logan Allen off the bench who along with Marko Malekinusic to score for the Panthers and bring the half to a close, down 31-46.
Second Half:
- Coming out of the half both teams would go scoreless in the first minute and it would be Can Kaan Turgut with a pullup three-pointer to bring the Panthers to within 13.
- Both teams would then go scoreless for around three minutes until the Cardinals would get on the board, followed by Xavier Ford-Belton free throws, 35-48.
- Logan Allen would continue where he left off in the first half and deliver an "and-1" to bring Tech within 10, 38-48.
- This would be the closest that the Panthers would get to attempt a comeback in this one as the Cardinals would deliver the exclamation point of the game with an (18-5) run and take a 23-point lead.
- It would then be Donovan Brown, Logan Allen, Manos Dimou, and Isaiah Edden who would score baskets down the stretch to bring the game to a finish as Tech would go scoreless in the final two minutes and lose 57-94
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Donovan Brown led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points and brought down a team high seven rebounds in the process to go along with three assists.
- Sophomore forward Logan Allen made the most of his minutes scoring a career high 13 points while bringing down two rebounds and a team high one block.
