MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Tech won back-to-back games for the first time this season, defeating UPR – Bayamon and North Greenville University. Elhadji "ET" Thiam would have his first double-double of the season in the win over UPR, followed by
Max Polk setting a career-high in points with 31 in the win over the NGU.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Half:
- Back-to-back baskets for the opposition would start this game as the Panthers would be in an early hole.
- It would be an Elhadji Thiam jumper that would get Tech on the board for the first time, 2-7.
- Max Polk would do all he could to get the Panthers ahead in this one as he would start the game 5-5 from the field & 3-3 from downtown, giving Tech their first lead at 16-14.
- It would be a (14-1) run at the 14-minute mark. Tech would build their lead to 21-15 over the Trailblazers.
- Logan Allen would enter the game and give the Panthers outstanding energy off the bench, providing four points, one basket of which was a fast break slam, three rebounds, and two blocks to help the Panthers.
- Polk would continue to stay hot throughout the half, and the team would play outstanding team defense. Can Kaan Turgut would have a solo steal and slam, and Tech would take a 44-31 lead to go into the half.
Second Half:
- The Trailblazers would not go down quietly as they would start the second half with a (6-0) run to get the last half underway, 44-37.
- Donovan Brown and Polk would answer with free throws each to sustain a Tech lead, 48-39.
- Again, Allen would give great minutes from the bench as he would come in and hit a three-pointer, the first basket from the field for Tech in the second half, and extend Tech's lead to 51-39.
- Polk would keep the Panthers continuing to his career day with five straight points, 62-47.
- Brown and Polk would take over down the stretch for Tech, but the Trailblazers would cut the lead to nine before Turgut would hit a pivotal three-pointer to push the Tech lead up to 12, 72-60.
- The Panthers would use this lead to carry them to the finish line and take the win over the Trailblazers, 78-67.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Max Polk matched his career high in points with 18 at halftime & would finish with a new career high of 31 points to lead all scorers on both teams.
- Elhadji Thiam finished with a season-high 12 rebounds and 3 blocks, which led both teams in both categories.

- Panthers now on a two-game win streak
- All-time vs. North Greenville: 4-0
- First meeting between teams since November 28, 2015
