OCALA, Fla.- Florida Tech's women's swimming program took part in the second day of the SSC Championship on Thursday finishing the night placed sixth in the standings with 86 points.

At the end of day two, Nova Southeastern would have a commanding 65-point lead with a cumulative 288 points in front of Tampa with 223 points. Rounding out the top three were Lynn with 147 points.

Katherine Helminiak was the Panthers top swimmer in the 1000 Free, placing ninth at SSCs with a time of 10:23.23. Behind Helminiak for the Panthers was
Kiera Ceely in 18
th at 10:43.81 as
Elizabeth Brewer rounded out Tech's top three finishers in the 1000 Free at 22
nd with 11:03.02.

Deborah Xavier earned herself a fifth-place finish in the night 50 Free B final representing Tech swimming the evening in 23.92.

To complete the night, the Women's 200 Medley Relay team of
Christina Ramirez,
Rae Ann Dressel,
Torie Whitbeck and Xavier placed sixth in the A Final with a time of 1:45.05. in the B Finals, the Panthers quartet of
Harper Powell,
Casey Holder,
Samantha Bullard and
Brieleigh Wescott finished fifth at 1:47.79.
