Willis Sets 2024 Volleyball Schedule

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech volleyball head coach Jordan Willis has announced the 2024 schedule which consists of 29 matches with 11 at home, 12 away, and six at a neutral site.

"Assistant Coach PuaLehua Keola and I are looking forward to our second season here at Florida Tech." Coach Willis Commented. "To start our campaign, our goal was to seek some strong regional opponents as we believe this will help prepare us when it comes time for conference play. By traveling to tournaments hosted by Lander and West Florida, we will accomplish just that."

The Panthers will open regular season play by traveling north to Greenwood, South Carolina where they will compete in the Redderson Invitational, hosted by Lander University. On day one (Sept. 6th) the Panthers will face off against Tusculum University before going up against hosts Lander later that night. The second day (Sept. 7th) of the invite will see the Crimson and Gray match up against Clark Atlanta followed by North Greenville.

A week later the Panthers will then travel to the Florida panhandle and compete in the Outback Invitational, hosted by the University of West Florida. The first day (Sept. 13th) sees Tech facing Northwest Missouri State and Springhill (Ala.). The next day (Sept. 14th), the Crimson and Gray are scheduled to face Wingate before taking on hosts West Florida.

"With Lander, Wingate, Tusculum, West Florida, and Spring Hill all making the 2023 NCAA Division II Regional Tournament along with Clark Atlanta and North Greenville coming off 20-win seasons, it will be fun to see what we can do," added Willis. "I am hopeful with this schedule we will learn a lot about ourselves before we move into our Sunshine State Conference schedule which is arguably one of the toughest conferences in all of Division II."

To conclude non-conference play, Tech will return to the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center for its home opener against Flagler (Sept. 20).

In the first week of SSC play Tech will take on Rollins (Sept. 24th) at home. That weekend will then see the Panthers travel to Embry-Riddle (Sept. 27th) before venturing down Fort Lauderdale to face Nova Southeastern (Sept. 28th).

To start the month of October, Tech will then welcome I-95 opponents Lynn (Oct. 4th) and Palm Beach Atlantic (Oct. 5th).

Another two-game road trip will see the Panthers spread out their week as they travel to Rollins (Oct. 8th) before journeying down to Miami Shores where they'll meet Barry (Oct. 12th).

Tech's longest home stand will stretch over the course of five games in nine days as they'll welcome Eckerd (Oct. 18th), Saint Leo (Oct. 19th), Nova Southeastern (Oct. 22nd), Tampa (Oct. 25th), and Florida Southern (Oct. 26th).

After the home stand, the Panthers will start November on the road with matches against Palm Beach Atlantic (Nov. 11th)  and Lynn (Nov. 12th).

Following its two-game road trip, the Panthers will host Barry (Nov. 7th) for Tech's only game of the week before traveling to the Gulf Coast the following weekend to match up against Saint Leo (Nov. 15th) and Eckerd (Nov. 16th).

Tech's final home game of the 2024 season will see them host Embry-Riddle (Nov.19th) before heading back out west to face Florida Southern (Nov. 22nd) and Tampa (Nov. 23rd) to conclude the regular season.
