STATS OF THE MATCH
  • Rollins appeared to have momentum at the beginning of the match, taking three shots and earning a corner-kick opportunity in the first 15 minutes.
  • However, the Panthers fired the first bullet of the match. Jonas Schmitt ripped the net in the crimson and gray for his first career goal. Osvaldo Santana grabbed the assist with a stellar pass to Schmitt.
  •  The Panthers wouldn't take long to double the score on the Tars. Less than two minutes late, Filippo Fazzi found the back of the net, helped by an assist from Hermann Runarsson.
  • Tech controlled the rest of the first half, taking three more shots while allowing just one from the Tars.
  • Again, the Tars played aggressively to begin the second half, shooting at the goal five times in the first 10 minutes.
  • Despite the Tars' hot second-half start, Runarsson received a pass from Fazzi and drilled the ball past the Tars' keeper, putting the Panthers up 3-0. It marked the defender's first Panther goal and game-winner.
  • The momentum quickly turned to Rollins as Isaac Hunter got the Tars on the board. The Tars maintained offensive possession, leading to a second goal in the 71st minute via penalty kick.
  • Rollins continued to take their shots, trying to find the equalizing goal.
  • But the Panthers put the nail in the Tars' coffin with another Jacopo Ghezzi free-kick goal for his third overall goal of the season.
