WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's soccer team falls to No. 20 Wingate, 2-0, despite outshouting them 15-7.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- It was a slow start for both teams, with zero shots for the first 14 minutes. Wingate's Pablo Pozos and Pedro Santos were the first to strike, but they sailed over the net.
- Osvaldo Santana was the first Panther to find an opportunity with a shot-on-goal in the 20th minute, but was saved by the Wingate keeper.
- Eythor Omarsson followed up with a shot of his own 11 seconds later but landed right and out of bounds.
- Wingate would take just one more shot in the first half; however, four Panthers took four shots in the final 7 minutes. At the half, the score remained knotted at 0-0
- Both teams aggressively tried to be the first to score, with both sides fouling multiple times.
- Jacopo Ghezzi ripped the ball towards the net twice, first five minutes in and later in the half. Joakim Jahnsen also got in on the action in the 68th minute.
- However, despite not taking a shot until the 72nd minute, Wingate took the lead because of a Panther defender's mistake.
- Seven minutes later, the Bulldogs doubled their score with a penalty kick goal taken by Pozos.
- The Panthers did not give up going all in on offense, taking five shots before the clock ran down.

- The series is even at 4-4 all-time between Florida Tech and Wingate—first neutral site meeting between the two teams.
- Panthers took 15 total shots, led by Ghezzi's three, and six shots-on-goal, all by different Panthers.
- In his first start as a Panther, Alvaro Ivorra Ronda played all 90 minutes and took one shot.
- Jahnsen and Ghezzi also earned their first starts of the season.
