MELBOURNE, FLA. – A late second-half push would have the Panthers within four, but they could not capitalize and would fall on the road to the Buccaneers.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Half:
- The Panthers started from behind early in this one as the Buccaneers would climb to a 2-8 start, the lone score coming from Donovan Brown free throws.
- Tech would deliver back-to-back three-pointers from Can Kaan Turgut and Brown, followed by a Max Polk jumper to tie the game at 10-10.
- From this mark, both teams would go over two and a half minutes without scoring and it would be the Buccaneers that snapped that drought, going on a 0-7 run, 10-17.
- The drought for the Panthers would continue for a total of six minutes before a Polk three-pointer would get Tech back on the board, 13-17.
- Polk and Brown would control most of the scoring for Tech along with a three-pointer from Emmanouil Dimou would keep the Buccaneers within reach, 22-25.
- Isaiah Edden would sub in and add in free throws before Brown would carry Tech into the half, scoring the remaining three points via and and-1.
- Tech would trail at the half, 27-38 with the team shooting just 28% from the field and 30% from the three-point line.
Second Half:
- Donovan Murphy would register the first basket for the Panthers on a second chance lay-in to get the second half underway.
- The supporting cast from Tech would get involved to help the Panthers chip away at the Buccaneer lead.
- Marko Malekinusic would down a three-pointer, AJ Lieuwen would get a steal, leading to his fast-break layup, and Murphy would get another second chance layup to cut the lead down to just three, 37-42.
- A Lieuwen would cut the lead to two points and bring Tech within the closest point since the 10-10 mark early in the first half, 40-42.
- The Buccaneers would go on a small run to expand their lead back up to double digits which they would hold throughout a majority of the second half, their largest lead being 14 points, 57-71.
- A then Lieuwen three-pointer would spark Tech's last attempt at a comeback as they would go on a 12-4 run would cut the lead to four, 69-74, and this, unfortunately, would be the closest that Tech would get to completing the comeback.
- The Buccaneers would deliver a 4-14 run to seal the game as Tech would take the loss, 73-87.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Donovan Brown led the game in scoring with 20 points, shared the game lead for assists with six, and collected two steals on the night.
- AJ Lieuwen scored a career-high 14 points off the bench while adding two steals to his box score.

- Florida Tech had won the past five matchups dating back to February 16, 2022.
