Miami Shores, Florida – Florida Tech Volleyball began a five-game road trip on Friday night with a Sunshine State Conference match-up at #3 ranked Barry. Riding a three-game winning streak, the Panthers knew it would take an almost flawless effort to beat one of the nation's best teams.

MATCH NOTES:
First Set: Florida Tech Panthers 23, Barry Buccaneers 25
- Barry opened the game by taking six of the first seven.
- The Buccaneer lead reached 8-2 before Florida Tech called timeout.
- Elisa Broggio and Cordelia Kearns put a temporary stop to the run with consecutive kills to cut the deficit to 10-4.
- Barry responded with a quick 3-1 spurt.
- From there, the Panthers got themselves off the mat with a 6-0 run.
- A block solo courtesy of Ashley Rants started the climb back, followed by two kills from Kearns, a kill from Rants and two BU errors before the Bucs called timeout.
- Following a Barry kill after the timeout, kills from Broggio and Hadley Waldren brought the Panthers within one.
- The Buccaners gave themselves breathing room thanks to a 4-1 run.
- The Crimson and Gray were not content to just play the part, however, as they fired back with a 6-2 run to take their first lead of the game.
- Leading the charge were consecutive aces and a kill from Broggio, a Kearns as well as outstanding floor defense.
- Following a Barry timeout, the Buccaneers got themselves back in front by one.
- From there, the teams exchanged points before before BU got to set point.
- After a Buccaneer service error, Varvara Osychenko's kill gave Barry the opening frame.
Second Set: Florida Tech Panthers 15, Barry Buccaneers 25
- The second set had a nearly identical start with Barry sprinting to a 7-2 advantage courtesy of a 5-0 after splitting the opening four points.
- Once again, Tech would regain its footing following a timeout as two kills from freshman Isabelle Clark and an error shrunk the deficit to three.
- The Buccaneers responded with a 6-1 counter of their own.
- While Florida Tech remained relentless in defense and Broggio (two kills), Clark (two kills) and Delacher (one ace) provided their best efforts, there was to be no rally in the second set with the Panthers only able to get briefly back within six.
Third Set: Florida Tech Panthers 22, Barry Buccaneers 25
- Barry sprinted out to another fast start, this time a 7-2 advantage.
- Tech would bring things level at seven thanks to two kills from Broggio, one each from Clark and Kearns along with Broggio teaming up for a block.
- Neither team held a lead larger than two with great play from both teams
- Keeping the Panthers in the fight over that stretch were Kearns (two kills, one ace), Broggio (one ace) and Kari Voelstad Bogen (one ace).
- A pair of Buccaneer attack errors gave the Crimson and Gray an 18-17 lead, which forced a Barry timeout.
- After the regroup, the Bucs responded by taking four of the next five points.
- Florida Tech brought the set even at 22 thanks to two kills from Ayisha Missipo and an error.
- Back to back Buccaneer kills and a Panther error secured the win for Barry.

- Barry leads the all-time series, 61-10.
- This game marked the 100th in a Panther uniform for senior Kenzie Delacher. Delacher also recorded her 103rd career service ace, tying her with Kelly Currin (2002-2005) for 10th in program history.
- Kari Voelstad Bogen's 13 digs brings her career total to 1,500, making her the fifth Panther ever to reach the mark and the first since Becca Bower in 2018.
