  • The Crimson and Gray brought the set even at 15 thanks to another kill from Kearns and a block from the tandem of Clark and Glassgold.
  • From there, neither team could create much separation as neither team had a lead larger than two for the rest of the frame. The trio of Clark, Glassgold and Kearns were immense, combining for five kills and a block.
  • Tech ultimately earned a first set victory through the duo of Kearns and Clark's overpowering effort at the net.

  • The Panthers began the second set by taking the first four points and five of the first six.
  • Kearns made sure the momentum stayed on Florida Tech's side with two kills, while Courtney Capar added an ace.
  • Lynn eventually drew earned the lead thanks to an 8-3 run that was led by two kills by Rossi, a kill and a block from Lillia Neill and a Gorjup ace.
  • With the set tied at nine, the Fighting Knights followed with a 7-0 run that saw three Alexia Radulovic kills to go with four Panther errors.
  • That ultimately decided the set as the Crimson and Gray were unable to shrink the deficit beyond five points despite the efforts of Ayisha Missipo (two kills), Kearns (two kills) and Hadley Waldren (block solo).

  • The Fighting Knights continued to push their advantage from there with a 9-5 stretch led by three kills from Neill and Rossi.
  • Florida Tech gave themselves a chance by cutting the deficit to 20-17 thanks to three Glassgold kills, one from Waldren, a Kearns service ace and a LU error.
  • Despite kills from Glassgold, Kearns and Waldren, the Crimson and Gray were unable to draw any closer as three Rossi kills and an error gave Lynn a 2-1 advantage heading to the fourth.
Fourth Set: Florida Tech Panthers 23, Lynn Fighting Knights 25
  • The Panthers began the fourth frame with a 5-2 advantage through a Glassgold kill, a Broggio/Waldren block and three Lynn errors.
  • Over the next 16 points, the Crimson and Gray extended their lead to 14-9 thanks to three kills from Kearns, one each from Waldren and Ashley Rants, a Broggio/Clark block and a Kari Voelstad Bogen ace.
  • A 3-0 LU spurt with involvement from Jackson on all three points seemed to indicate another massive run was on the way.
  • However, Florida Tech countered with a quick three of their own with Glassgold and Waldren recording individual kills and Waldren and Rants combining for a block.
  • Lynn fought back with a 4-0 counter through two Jackson kills, one from Neill and an error to force a Panther timeout.
  • A service error out of the break gave Tech a reprieve but following a Broggio/Waldren block, LU collected the next three points to take their first lead of the fourth set.
