Augusta, Ga. – The Panthers finished games two and three against Augusta with a doubleheader split on Friday. The Panthers started strong with an 8-4 victory in Game one of the day, fueled by a four-run second inning and solid pitching. However, Augusta responded in Game two of the day with a big offensive outburst, handing Tech a 16-5 loss. The Panthers now turn their focus on tomorrow's final matchup against Augusta as they go for a gentlemen's sweep in the series.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• The Panthers scored four runs in the second inning, initiated by Roman Samson's run off a sacrifice fly by Jason Blackston. Conner Wiggins then singled to left field, driving in Cole Patrick and advancing Gabe Garrett to third, who later scored on an error, and Jaden Hill capped the inning with a two-RBI single, bringing the score to 4-0.
• In the bottom of the second, Augusta got on the board from a double that brought in one score, making it 4-1.
• Tech added a run in the fourth when Wiggins stole home, and three more in the fifth, highlighted by RBI singles from Anthony Fimiano, Blackston, and Hill, pushing the lead to 8-1.
• Augusta attempted a late rally in the ninth, scoring three runs, the result of two singles, but the Panthers' defense held firm to secure the win.
• Nicholas Jukovich, who lasted the final two innings, gave up three hits and three runs while walking two, striking out three, and registering the final strikeout.
• Brayden DiCerb threw in relief, lasting two innings, giving up zero hits and zero runs, while walking three and striking out three.

• The Panthers started game two strong, with Pedro Figueroa scoring in the first inning off a double by Roman Samson, and Tech added runs in the third and fourth innings to lead 3-1.
• In the third inning, Anthony Fimiano flied out, bringing home Samson, and in the fourth, Conner Wiggins flied out, bringing home Gabe Garrett.
• Augusta responded with a 13-run fifth inning, shifting the momentum and establishing a significant lead.
• Tyler Dietz got the start on the mound for Tech, lasting 3.2 innings, giving up three hits and one run while walking five and striking out six.
• The relieving pitchers for Tech struggled as four different hurlers received the opportunity but couldn't stop the offense from the Jaguars until Brady Guthrie finished the inning with a strike out.
• Tech added two runs in the seventh inning after Akhil Nimmala homered, bringing himself and Carlos Guzman home, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit, and the Panthers would suffer the loss.
