A total of 34 Florida Tech scholar-athletes earned a 4.00 GPA during the 2024 fall semester.

MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2024 Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll on Wednesday, and 68 Florida Tech scholar-athletes were recognized for their outstanding performance in the classroom.

Of the 69 scholar-athletes, 34 earned a perfect 4.00 grade-point average during the 2024 fall semester.

Florida Tech posted a 3.44 department GPA, with every team earning at least a 3.1 GPA or higher in the fall semester.

A total of 896 scholar-athletes have been named to the 2024 Fall Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. Additionally, 255 scholar-athletes carried a perfect 4.00 GPA for the fall semester.

This year's total breaks the previous record number of 840 named to the 2023 Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll. It is the twelfth consecutive record-breaking fall for the SSC Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the Fall SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a scholar-athlete must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Participants in the sports of men's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball were eligible for the fall honor roll.

Having won 129 Division II National Championships since the league was founded in 1975, SSC scholar-athletes have proven successful in competition in addition to the classroom. SSC scholar-athletes recently achieved an NCAA Division II record 89-percent Academic Success Rate (ASR) following the 2022-23 academic year. The SSC ranks first among NCAA Division II conferences in ASR and has never fallen below second in the metric's 18-year history.
